California’s Proposition 65 (Prop 65) requires warning labels on products with harmful chemicals. These products can expose users to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The list maintained by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) includes thousands of chemicals or ingredients classified as carcinogens or reproductive toxicants. Many of these substances are found in everyday items—from furniture and appliances to shoes and automotive parts.

These products can expose you to chemicals including acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, bisphenol, lead, chromium (hexavalent compounds), titanium dioxide, carbon black, diisononyl phthalate (DINP), and di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
